Dr. Bakian is a board-eligible periodontist from Newport Coast, California who earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Southern California, where he built a strong foundation in comprehensive dental care. He went on to complete a specialty residency in periodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, one of the country’s leading clinical programs, where he received extensive training in gum disease diagnosis and treatment, soft tissue grafting, bone regeneration, and dental implant placement.
Dr. Bakian is certified in IV Sedation and trained in the use of periodontal lasers, PRF (platelet-rich fibrin), and digital implant planning technologies, including X-Guide. During his residency, he presented at conferences at Harvard Dental School and Tufts Dental School on topics such as Guided Bone Regeneration and All-on-X Implant Workflows.
He has also contributed to research publications on peri-implant disease and various case studies. Outside the office, Dr. Bakian enjoys playing soccer, attending concerts, and trying out the newest restaurants in the area.
