Our premium porcelain veneers are custom-crafted by master ceramists using high-quality ceramic materials. This treatment provides the most natural-looking and durable results, closely mimicking the light-reflecting properties of natural tooth enamel.
Traditional porcelain veneers require minimal tooth preparation and can last 15 years or more with proper care.
For patients seeking a more conservative approach, no-prep veneers offer smile transformation with little-to-no tooth preparation required. These ultra-thin porcelain veneers are bonded directly to your natural teeth, preserving more of your original tooth structure.
This approach is ideal for patients with healthy teeth who want to enhance their smile’s color, shape, or size without extensive preparation. Not every patient is a candidate—Dr. Saad will always recommend the most conservative option appropriate for your unique situation.
Composite veneers are crafted from tooth-colored resin material and can often be completed in a single visit. While more affordable than porcelain options, composite veneers provide excellent aesthetic results for addressing minor imperfections, gaps, or discoloration. Dr. Saad will help you determine which veneer option best suits your smile goals and lifestyle. Financing is available through Cherry and CareCredit.
Custom-crafted by master ceramists, veneers are a minimally invasive way to transform your smile and boost your confidence. For patients interested in a comprehensive approach, Dr. Saad often incorporates veneers into a full smile design plan.

Veneers are crafted from high-quality, durable materials closely resembling the appearance of natural teeth. Dr. Saad works with a master ceramist to ensure your veneers are customized to complement your unique facial features and skin tone, resulting in a seamless, natural-looking smile.
This treatment can address a wide range of cosmetic dental concerns, including discoloration, chipped or broken teeth, gaps, minor misalignments or crooked teeth, minor crowding, and worn or irregularly shaped teeth.
Veneers are made from strong, durable materials able to withstand the daily pressures of biting and chewing. With proper care and maintenance, your veneers can last for 10-15 years or more, providing you with a beautiful, confident smile for years to come.
During your initial consultation, Dr. Saad will perform a comprehensive exam, discuss your smile goals, and determine if veneers are the best option for you. She will take a series of dental and facial photos in our photo studio, as well as digital scans using our iTero scanner. This information is used by our Newport Beach team and our master ceramist to fabricate the proposed new smile with a diagnostic wax-up. This model is used to design your custom veneers and visualize your final results.
Dr. Saad will prepare your teeth for the veneers using extremely conservative preparation technique, and sometimes will require no preparation at all! A set of temporary veneers will be created based on the diagnostic wax-up. This gives patients the ability to test drive their new smile before the finals are permanently cemented. You'll then return for a 24-hour post-op check in which we will verify the shape and length of the teeth, color, bite, and speech. Photos and scan of the temporaries are also taken.
Once your custom veneers are ready, you'll return to LALUME Dental Studio for the final placement. Final veneers will be tried on and you'll have the opportunity to see and approve your veneers before cementation. Dr. Saad will ensure a perfect fit and make any necessary adjustments before bonding the veneers to your teeth. A final scan is also taken of your new veneers for fabrication of a retainer or nightguard.
After two weeks, you'll return for a final check up appointment. Dr. Saad will sit down with you to ensure everything looks and feels good, and deliver your retainer or nightguard to help protect your new smile. Lastly, a final set of photos will be taken to showcase your beautiful transformation.

The best candidates for porcelain veneers are patients with generally healthy teeth and gums who want to refine the appearance of their smile without extensive dental work. Common concerns veneers address include discoloration or deep staining that whitening alone cannot correct, chipped or cracked teeth, gaps or spaces between teeth, minor misalignments, uneven shapes, and teeth that appear worn or short. During your smile design consultation, Dr. Saad evaluates your facial structure, tooth proportions, gumline, and existing tooth color to determine which type of veneer, if any, is the right fit for your goals. Some patients find that a short course of Invisalign before veneers allows for a more conservative preparation and a longer-lasting result.
Veneers cover only the visible front surface of a tooth, requiring little to no enamel removal. A dental crown, by contrast, encases the entire tooth and requires significantly more preparation. For a patient with a cosmetic concern and a structurally sound tooth, veneers are almost always the more conservative and appropriate choice. When a tooth has significant decay, fractures, or structural damage, a crown may be necessary to restore both form and function. During your consultation, Dr. Saad will assess the condition of each tooth and recommend the least invasive path to your smile goals. You can also explore our smile design process to understand how she builds comprehensive treatment plans that consider the full picture of your oral health.
Caring for your veneers is straightforward and fits naturally into your existing routine. Brush twice daily with a soft-bristled toothbrush and non-abrasive toothpaste, floss daily, and attend regular dental check-ups at LALUME Dental Studio. Avoid biting into very hard foods, chewing ice, or using your teeth as tools. If you grind at night, wearing a nightguard is one of the most effective things you can do to protect your investment. Porcelain is highly resistant to staining, but limiting coffee, tea, and red wine helps maintain the brightness of your smile over time. Dr. Saad provides personalized maintenance guidance at your final appointment tailored to your specific restoration and lifestyle.

Not all veneer materials perform the same way, and understanding what goes into your new smile helps you feel confident about the decision you are making. At LALUME Dental Studio, we work exclusively with master ceramists to ensure every restoration reflects exceptional artistry and durability.
Traditional and no-prep veneers are fabricated from high-grade dental porcelain, a ceramic material that closely replicates the way natural enamel reflects and transmits light. This translucency is what gives porcelain veneers their remarkably lifelike appearance, making them essentially indistinguishable from surrounding teeth in photographs and in person. Porcelain is also highly resistant to staining from coffee, tea, and red wine, which is one reason it remains the gold standard for smile design cases. Composite veneers, by contrast, are made from a tooth-colored resin applied directly to the tooth surface and shaped by hand in a single appointment. While composite is a skilled, cost-conscious option for minor corrections, it is more susceptible to staining over time and typically has a shorter lifespan than porcelain.
Veneers have a well-established safety record when placed by a trained cosmetic dentist following conservative preparation principles. The most important consideration is that the process is not reversible: once any enamel has been reduced to accommodate a veneer, that tooth will require a restoration indefinitely. This is true of all veneer types, including no-prep options. At LALUME Dental Studio, Dr. Saad’s goal in every case is to preserve as much natural tooth structure as possible while delivering beautiful, lasting results. Many patients are candidates for no-prep or minimal-prep veneers, but not everyone is, and some cases involve a thoughtful combination of all three types to achieve the most conservative and aesthetically cohesive outcome. The best way to find out what is right for you is a smile design consultation with Dr. Saad, where she can evaluate your teeth, discuss your goals, and map out the most conservative path to the smile you have always envisioned. Sensitivity following placement is common and typically resolves within a few days.
Veneers are bonded to the front surface of your teeth using a dental adhesive resin that creates a strong, durable connection between the porcelain or composite shell and your natural enamel. Before bonding, the tooth surface is gently conditioned to create optimal adhesion. Dr. Saad then carefully positions each veneer and checks your bite before using a curing light to harden the resin and permanently set the restoration in place. At LALUME, patients have the opportunity to preview their final veneers before cementation and approve the fit, color, and shape before anything is made permanent.
Both traditional porcelain and no-prep veneers can last 15 years or more with proper care. Composite veneers typically have a shorter lifespan of five to seven years. Longevity depends largely on at-home habits: avoiding biting into very hard foods, wearing a nightguard if you grind at night, and keeping up with regular check-ups at our Newport Beach practice all contribute significantly to how long your veneers hold up. Patients who invest in a smile design consultation with Dr. Saad receive personalized maintenance guidance tailored to their specific restoration.

If you are not quite ready for veneers, or if your primary concern is shade rather than shape, there are complementary options worth exploring. Teeth whitening is an excellent starting point for patients with healthy enamel and surface staining. For minor chips or gaps, composite bonding can often be completed in a single visit without any tooth preparation. And for patients whose alignment concerns are driving the cosmetic issue, a course of Invisalign before veneers can result in a more conservative preparation and a more harmonious final result. Dr. Saad will help you understand all of your options during your consultation so you can make the decision that is right for you, at your own pace.
